Make a Dream Come True

Karly Coil

Hi! This is Karly’s story

Karly is dealing with epilepsy, central sleep apnea, and autism. A Service Dog can be trained to detect seizures and provide comfort during them. The service dog could also help redirect her during her autism episodes. Karly is a 20 month old. She was born prematurely at 35 weeks. Starting with a life-threatening bout with RSV, Karly has been admitted to the hospital 39 times with a total of 181 days spent there. Many specialists, procedures and medications were involved as the scope of her condition was determined. Side effects of her current seizure medication have contributed to a delay in expressive communication, speech and walking.  Karly‘s dad is in the military and she has a little brother  (also born prematurely), which keeps her mom pretty busy. While her parents know that they are already blessed with these two children, a dad in the military, and a mom who is recently cancer free, a Service Dog would truly help their family.

4 Paws For Ability can get Karly the service dog she needs. It will cost them $40,000 – $60,000 to train the dog specially for her. Our family will fundraise only a portion of that, $17,000 of the cost. The cost is not something that my family can come up with on their own so we are asking for donations to help reach our goal. We kindly request that all donations be made directly to 4 Paws. Checks should be made out to 4 Paws For Ability and the memo line needs to include my name, Karly Coil. Send donations to:
