Fee for Service

In order to accept all children who qualify for our programs, 4 Paws for Ability partners with client families to provide the funds necessary to provide a service dog in a partial payment for service model.  It costs between $40,000 – $60,000 to place a single service dog with a child or veteran.

The current fee for service is:  $17,000

4 Paws for Ability manages an organizational fundraising program through their own development department and with assistance from volunteer fundraisers locally and around the country to cover the remaining funds needed to provide a service dog.

Most of our families engage in fundraising activities within their communities to raise this fee.  It is not required or expected that families provide full payment at the time of application.  On average families who chose to fundraise are able to complete fundraising in 6 months, however some take more or less time.  There is no limit on the amount of time it can take a family to fundraise and 4 Paws will never expire your raised funds.

4 Paws does require that families have an approved application and signed fundraising agreement on file before fundraising for your service dog.  This is for the protection of both the client and 4 Paws.  If you are ready to apply, please visit the Application Process page and the Child Application page.
