Evelyn "Evie" Baumgardner
Evie is a 4 year old ball of energy! She is one of the spunkiest kids around! She loves her apple juice, mac n cheese, and cheeseburgers! She makes people smile wherever she goes.
August 20th, 2019, will always be one of my favorite times with her... It was the first time she asked for a hug and continued to hug me, it lasted for such a short time but it made my heart so happy. I believe that feeling is what a autism service dog would do for Evie. Evie was diagnosed with Autism in the Fall of 2020. After a lot of speech, occupational therapies and doctors’ appointments, it became apparent Evelyn needs a little more help to optimize her independence level, quality of life, safety and mood regulation. That brought us to this world of service dogs...
How Can You Help?
It costs 4 Paws between $40,000-$60,000 to raise, train, and place a service dog. Our family has to raise $17,000 of that to pay for a service dog.
